Iaco Rigo
Rigo joined the Association of Italian Journalists. He initially worked as a translator, then as an editor and editor-in-chief of La Usc di Ladins, a weekly newspaper for the Ladin valleys. Rigo is one of the most prolific Ladin writers, with novels (e.g. Anastasia o L'aurela dla vita - 2003), plays (e.g. Cuntra löm - 2011), collections of short stories and poetry (e.g. Maghëies - 1995 and Le paromaró – Cunties, noveles y spassëtes - 2015) and various musical projects (e.g. Ombríes de löna - 1997). A central theme of his novels is the constant tension that exists between the small mountain community where he lives and the vast outside world. Rigo set up the association Uniun Ciantauturs Ladins (UCL), of which he is vice president. He is also president of the association Ert por i Ladins (EPL).
