Luigi Ghedina was a painter who studied at the Academy of Venice. Later, he became the director of the art school in Cortina. Some of his works are exhibited in Cortina d’Ampezzo, including an altar in the church of San Teofilo and paintings in the church of Santa Giuliana in Alverà. In the church of Santa Giuliana in Alverà, one can admire his magnificent painting The Miracle of the Virgin who Saves the Land from a Flood. Ghedina created oil paintings, lithographs, and paintings on transparent materials that could be hung on windows. He was also appreciated for his social involvement in the village.
