Giorgio Moroder
Giorgio Moroder is an Italian music producer, composer, and DJ known for his use of synthesizers and his soundtracks. He is considered one of the most innovative and influential musicians in the field of electronic and disco music. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous stars including Barbra Streisand, Britney Spears, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, Nina Hagen, The Sparks, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, and Daft Punk. Among his numerous awards there are an Oscar for The Chase from the film Midnight Express (1979), another Oscar for Flashdance... What a Feeling (1984), the Bambi Award (1984 and 1988), another Oscar for Take My Breath Away from the film Top Gun (1987), a Grammy Award in 1998 for Carry On with Donna Summer, and the World Soundtrack Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
