Albino Pitscheider was a sculptor from Val Gardena who, amongst other things, began sculpting with Josef Moroder Lusenberg. From 1910 to 1949, he taught at the Selva Art School. During the First World War, he worked in the prosthesis department in Vienna. He carved numerous sculptures depicting war motifs that are currently exhibited at the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum of Vienna. Albino Pitscheider was also one of the founders of Museum de Gherdëina.
