Frida Piazza

Anda Frida Piazza, born Prinoth, was a writer, Ladin scholar and sculptor. She was one of the pioneers of Ladin linguistics and glottology. She published numerous books in Ladin, including Pitla ustoria dla eves (1977), La marueies de nosc albierch (1988) and La udera da la Duleda (1992). The novel L Nost, published in 1988 by Walter Belardi, is considered the first original novel in Ladin. Frida Piazza translated works by internationally renowned authors, such as Chekhov, Dante, Verlaine and more, but now researches Gardenese words in various lexical fields, especially botany. In addition, Frida Piazza was a sculptor like her husband, Luis Piazza.
