Aldo Canins studied at the Art Institute of Florence, after which he moved to Vilsheim, a small town in Lower Bavaria. There, he worked as a painter, illustrator and draughtsman. His favourite subjects included the plain landscapes between the Danube, Isar, Vils and Inn rivers. For decades, Canins perfected his landscape painting, creating iconic landscapes depicting silence, timeless fragments of the universe. His works follow classical proportions, exhibit reductive forms and are created with delicate colour palettes. He died in Vilsheim in 2019.
