The La Vëta Association was founded with the aim of saving Val Gardena’s artistic tradition during a time of crisis, with the goal of supporting and offering a future to the tradition of woodcarving. The Association works together with schools and the UNIKA by organising workshop open days, for example. In addition, it hosts the Summeracademy, a summer programme with specialised courses in fine arts; mainly sculpting and drawing.
