Acajo
The group Acajo was initially made up of three young men from Val Gardena: Raimond Irsara (guitar, singing, soprano and tenor saxophone, mouth harmonica), Walti Moroder (piano, singing, guitar) and Leander Moroder (singing, guitar). In 1991, Leander Moroder left the group but was replaced by Viktor Canins (double bass, vocals), Georg Malfertheiner (drums, percussion, piano, vocals) and Hansjörg Kostner (vocals, guitar). The band developed a style of music that went beyond pop/rock or folk styles. Their music is based on a universal culture, although they sing in their mother tongue, Ladin. The topics they discuss are diverse, including the environment, love, war and death. Basically everyday life. The group has released several CDs, including Aldidancuei (1992), Di pa pu (1997) and Mumënc (2005).
