Luis Piazza was born on the Cudan farm. He attended Art School in Ortisei, where he also worked as a teacher from 1943 to 1975. Luis Piazza worked with Robert Moroder, Alex Moroder, Albino Pitscheider, Hermann Moroder, Gilo Prugger y Heinrich Moroder Sr., one of the founders of the Museum Gherdëina in 1958. He exhibited his works with Lia Mostra d’Ert - Circolo and Ruscel in Ortisei and was also a member of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund. Luis Piazza was married to the writer and sculptor Frida Piazza.
